Mr. One Year Old :)

I am so excited that Foster is ONE. He is such a big boy. He is probably not as advanced as I think he is, but he is pretty dang smart. He is walking all over the place. He is funny to watch. His favorite thing to do is watch commercials :).

Christmas is coming up, and there is too much to do before it gets here. I still have half my shopping to do. But that's okay. The holiday is about Jesus and remembering the greatest gift and the Great Giver.

Please pray for my grandmother and her "friend", Dorse (who I have claimed as my "granddad". He is on Hospice care and is not doing well. I hope and pray his pain ends soon. I never like losing a loved one, but I figure they are just going to Heaven before me so that they can help pave the way for others to get there. Dorse is a good man and I am glad I know him.

Please hold the ones you love, and tell them you love them daily. You never know when a kind act is really important and needed in someone's life.

Merry CHRISTmas!

Time for Fall

Okay, Blogging is harder to remember to do than Facebooking, but I am trying; really I am.

Foster is just starting to walk...he is really wobbly but is so proud of himself when he actually does take a few steps. He has had the swine flu and has been pretty cranky, but last night he was "pattycake-ing" all by himself...of course, his favorite part is to "throw it in the pan" :) He is such a little monkey.

Kevin and I have also had the flu in the past couple of weeks, but are so much better now. It was pretty rough. We sent Foster to Mom's for several days to try to keep him from getting the flu, but it didn't work.

Work is going well...crazy busy as always, but it is fun. Looking forward to some time off.

Can you believe Foster is going to be one in less than 2 weeks? I feel like we just brought him home :). He is so much fun and we love him like crazy.

The house is slowly coming together. It would go faster if we could sell our other house, but God has a plan for that, I have to keep reminding myself. Ok, so it is 5PM and I have to go to the Bad Store to pick up a prescription and then get home to get my little man. Hope he had a good day!

New Developments

Just an update to our lives....
1. Foster is rolling like a roly-poly. He eats big-boy food (Gerber first foods :)) and so far he loves everything we have fed him.....sweet potatoes, applesauce, pears, prunes, peas, carrots, Everything!
2. We bought a house :) 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath on Cactus street in Olney. I am so excited. I tore out all the carpet within 3 hours of signing the papers :)
3. I was elected to the Olney City Council. I was quite honored by this and hope that the community is not disappointed by my being a part of this.
4. Kevin is working super long hours again (it's air conditioner time :() but that's ok, we do this every year.

Other than that, things are pretty normal. we would love to hear from any of you anytime. We love you all!

Way more new stuff going on

Ok, so maybe I am not so great at this blogging thing....but, I am a new mom, what do you expect?

Anyway, we have lots of new stuff going on....
1. I am running for City Council....Election day is 5/9/09...go vote!
2. We bought a house.....that is the most super exciting thing I could imagine right now. We have been needing a new house for a while, and things just finally worked out.
3. We will have our 3rd wedding anniversary on Wednesday, the day before we close on the house :). I am still as madly in love with my husband as I ever have been and am so lucky to have him.
4. Foster is getting so big....rolling, eating big boy food--gerber first foods (and so far he likes applesauce, pears, sweet potatoes, and carrots :D), talking and singing up a storm....he is a great kid!
5. Internship is started so hopefully one of these days I will have a license to counsel people and I can start charging for all my good advice.

So, that's us in a nutshell right now. We will update more later :)
